Stories of Becoming

by Isis Lauren

I write for the in-between years—the uncertain space between who we have been and who we are becoming. Through stories, dreams, books, psychology, motherhood, and ordinary life, she explores identity, belonging, family, and the quiet moments that shape us.

Why I write

I believe ordinary moments often contain extraordinary wisdom. I write to notice them, understand them, and share them—one story at a time.

Why i write

I didn't set out to build a website.

I set out to remember.

To notice the ordinary moments that quietly change our lives — a conversation with my daughter, a dream before dawn, a sentence in a book, a rescued peacock crossing the mountain road.

This website is where those moments become stories.

Begin here

Every story begins with an ordinary moment.

A Letter Now and Then

I don't send many emails.

But when a new story is ready, I'd love to send it to you.
